An Algorithm for Gravity Anomaly Inversion in HPC

Abstract

In the paper we analyse results from the inversion of geophysical anomalies in high performance computing platforms. We experiment the solution of this ill-posed problem, trying to bypass the complexity of the calculations using simple algorithms that require huge calculation capacities offered by parallel systems. The gravity anomalies are considered because of the simplicity of the gravity modeling in geophysics.
