A Special Issue on: Adaptive AI-ML Technique for 6G/ Emerging Wireless Networks
Wireless networking has become an integral part of our daily lives, enabling seamless connectivity, and information exchange. With the rapid growth of wireless networks and the increasing demand for higher data rates, improved coverage, and enhanced network performance, there is a need for intelligent solutions to optimize and manage wireless systems effectively. Adaptive Artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and deep learning (DL) techniques have emerged as powerful tools for addressing the complex challenges faced by wireless technologies, and they would be helpful to improve the performance and QoS (Quality of Service) of the future wireless networks.
This special issue aims to explore the advancements in wireless technologies through the integration of adaptive AI, and ML methodologies. It provides a platform for researchers, engineers, and industry professionals to share their novel research findings, innovative solutions, and practical applications in the field of intelligent wireless systems. By leveraging intelligent algorithms and techniques, this special issue aims to improve wireless network efficiency, enhance spectrum utilization, enable intelligent resource allocation, and facilitate intelligent decision-making in wireless communication.

Original and unpublished works on any of the topics aforementioned or related are welcome. The SCPE journal has a rigorous peer-reviewing process and papers will be reviewed by at least two referees. Dr. Ashish Bagwari received B. Tech. (with Honors), M. Tech. (with Honors and Gold Medalist), and Ph.D. degrees in Electronics and Communication engineering in 2007, 2011, and 2016 respectively. He is currently working as a Head for the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Women Institute of Technology (WIT) (Institute of State Government) Dehradun, Affiliating Institution of Uttarakhand Technical University (State Government Technical University), Dehradun, India. He has more than 14.0 years of experience in industry, academics, and research. He received the Best WIT Faculty award in 2013 and 2015 and Best Project Guide Award in 2015. Dr. Bagwari has been awarded by the Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Prize from the Institution of Engineers, India (IEI) in December 2015 for his research work and was named in Who’s Who in the World 2016 (33rdEdition), 2017 (34th Edition). Also, received Outstanding Scientist Award 2021 from VDGOOD Technology, Chennai, India in November 2021, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Life Time Achievement National Award 2022 from National Institute for Socio Economic Development (NISED), Bangalore, India in June 2022, and “Best Teacher Award-2023” from Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University (State Government Technical University), Dehradun on September 05, 2023. Dr. Bagwari has published more than 170+ research articles in various international journals (including SCI, Scopus, and ISI indexed) that also include IEEE international conferences (https://scholar.google.co.in/citations?hl=hi&user=6kYT6h0AAAAJ). His areas of interest are cognitive radio networks, mobile communication, sensor networks, wireless, and 5G Communication, digital communication, mobile ad-hoc networks, etc. Dr. Bagwari is an active member of various professional societies like Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE, USA) as a Senior Member, Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), India as a Fellow, professional member of ACM (Association for Computing Machinery), member of Machine Intelligence Research Laboratory Society, member of International Association of Engineers, etc. He has also been an Academic Editor, Lead Guest Editor, Guest Editor, Reviewer of various SCI, Scopus, ISI indexed journals.
Dr. Bagwari has organized 06 international Scopus conferences, 20+ workshops/ symposium, 08 Short Term Course Program (STCP)/ Faculty Development Program (FDP) program, 12 expert lectures and has been invited as a key-speaker, session chair in various workshops/conferences and delivered 17 expert lectures at different institutions and universities within India or abroad. Dr. Ashish has visited china in the year 2007 when he associated with the Reliance industry, Mumbai, India. Dr. Ashish granted 02 Indian patents and currently, pursuing various research projects/ consultancies funded by the Government of India/ Private Organizations. Dr. Ashish has assessed and evaluated more than 07 Post-graduate student’s projects (at M.Tech. Course Level) and 16 under-graduate student’s projects (at B.Tech. Course Level), guided 01 Ph.D. student and guiding 03 Ph.D. students, and evaluated/ reviewed 14 Ph.D. thesis as an external examiner. He has written six books and more than 14 book chapters in reputed international publishers.

Jorge Barbosa received his BS degrees in Data Processing Technology (1990) and Electrical Engineering (1991) from the Catholic University of Pelotas, Brazil. He obtained his MS and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Brazil, in 1996 and 2002, respectively. He conducted post-doctoral studies at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU, Suwon, South Korea, 2016) and University of California Irvine (UCI, Irvine, USA, 2020). Nowadays, he is a full professor of Applied Computing Graduate Program (PPGCA) at the University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos (UNISINOS), São Leopoldo, Brazil. Additionally, he is a researcher of productivity at CNPq (the Brazilian Council for Scientific and Technological Development) and head of the Mobile Computing Laboratory (MobiLab/UNISINOS). His research interests are Ubiquitous Computing, Ambient Intelligence, Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT), Machine Learning, Data Analysis, Games Development, Context Histories, Context Prediction mainly through similarity and pattern analysis, Applied Computing in Health, Accessibility, Learning, Industry and Agriculture. Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Hasan (MIEEE’13, SMIEEE’17) is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Network and Communication Technology research cluster, Center for Cyber Security, Faculty of Information Science and Technology, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Electrical and Communication Engineering from the faculty of Engineering, International Islamic University, Malaysia, in 2016. Dr. Hasan completed his M.Sc. degree in Communication Engineering from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, International Islamic University, Malaysia, in 2012. He has been awarded the gold medal for the research work and many achievements, such as the Full bright scholarship sponsored by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia. Dr. Kamrul has been a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers since 2013, a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, and a member of the Internet Society. He has served the IEEE IIUM student branch as chairperson from 2014 to 2016. Before starting the doctoral study, Dr. Kamrul served the related industry for ten (10) years as a lead engineer, deputy manager, manager for the supervision, installation, setup, and fault handling of Radio and Microwave Communication systems and networks, Wide Area Network design/planning and implementation, PLC, Wide Aera Measurement System, Microcontrollers, and Merging Units. He is a certified professional technologist and has been consulting the related industries. His research interest includes Telecommunications, Cyber-Physical and Network Security, Internet of Things, Vehicular Networks, and smart grid technologies. Dr. Kamrul has been secured research Grants in National and International level which is worth in One (1) million Malaysian Ringgit or 238,900.00 USD. He has published 160 peer-reviewed articles high-impact SCIE/SCI/ISI, and Scopus indexed Journals. Dr. Kamrul received 1800 citations in Google Scholar, and his H-index is 26, and i10- 51.

Dr. Albena Mihovska holds a PhD degree in EEng (2008) from Aalborg University, Aalborg, Denmark. She has a strong academic research track record of more than 20 years, with positions as an Associate Professor at Aalborg University (2009-2017), Denmark and at Aarhus University, Denmark. Currently, she holds positions as a CTO, SmartAvatar BV, Netherlands and as a 6G Research Director at CTIF Global Capsule (CGC) Foundation, Skagen, Denmark, of which she is a Founding Member. She is a WG3 Vice-Chair of the One6G Association (https://one6g.org) and a Board Member of EUROMERSIVE (https://euromersive.eu). Her research interests are in 6G connectivity solutions for applications across vertical market segments. She is IEEE R8 Standards Coordination Committee Member and ITU-T Focus Group on Metaverse (FGMV) Expert, and has been active within ITU-T standardisation since 2011. She is an IEEE Member and serves on the Steering and Organizing Committees of several prominent IEEE events.

Dr. Ashraf Samarah received B.Sc., M.Sc. degrees in Communications and Electronic engineering with honors from Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Energy Engineering, from the University of Siegen, Siegen-Germany, respectively. He has worked in the area of photovoltaic energy systems and electrical signals last ten years. Dr. Samarah worked as a scientific researcher at the center of the sensor system (ZESS) in Siegen-Germany, and Fraunhofer Institute in Wachtberg-Germany, from 2007 - 2012. Dr. Samarah was the director of Zarqa Energy Research Center (ZERC), and the consultant for the energy auditing and energy efficiency for all the buildings of the university. He was also responsible for installing, maintenance and operation two MW PV system at Zarqa University since September 2015 till September 2016. He is currently associated with Kettering University, Michigan, USA as an Associate Professor, and also working as a consultant and expert for renewable energy projects (7 MW PV wheeling PV system) and 10 MW PV direct proposal system in addition to that he is a director of renewable energy tenders' projects at Al Balqa Applied University. In the same time, he is the head of the Department of Electrical Energy Engineering (DEEE). Dr. Samarah is an expert, researcher and teaching committee member in the Department of Electrical Energy Engineering (DEEE) with valuable scientific publications in the field of renewable energy, energy auditing, and energy efficiency at AL-Balqa Applied University. He is also a renewable energy consultant for Jordanian public and private entities.
