Multimedia computer systems can manage digital data encompassing text, photos, music, and full-motion videos, which can be manipulated, deleted, imported, stored in the system's memory, and accessed as needed. Networked multimedia computing systems can interconnect multiple computer networks to exchange digital data. The development of multimedia computer systems operates within an ever-evolving intelligent computing environment. In the networked future, computer messaging and conference systems will emerge as vital sources of information. Within multimedia computing, critical considerations include software systems, hardware, networking, human resources, and risk management. Advanced intelligent multi-agent systems will drive the development of hyperscale computing technologies to mitigate multimedia computing challenges. Addressing these challenges necessitates designers of intelligent systems to prioritize hypermedia systems as an essential field for integrating specific functionalities.
Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) applications have gained popularity within the medical industry, demonstrating the ability to enhance user engagement, a challenge often encountered with conventional web platforms, particularly in tasks requiring hands-on interaction. Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), especially in multimedia, have witnessed growing adoption in academia and business. Deep learning advancements have enabled real-world problem-solving through image analysis and interpretation. However, intelligent multi-agent systems are particularly designed to address the challenges of managing diverse media types, such as audio, video, images, and other formats.
This special issue aims to bring original research and review articles focusing on investigating and developing innovative hyperscale computing technologies in intelligent multimedia systems. These show amazing potential for enhancing user outcomes in numerous fields.
