DICOM data processing optimization in medical information systems

Abstract

The problem of storage and visualization of medical images collected by various medical equipment is actual for latest 10 years for every medical institution. On the other hand, access to the medical investigation datasets and solving the problem of personal patient data security is important for scientific community and institutions that require this data. "DICOM Network" project was developed for solving these problems for different actors in the system based on the various customized roles. This article describes the problems and possible solutions for optimization of medical images storing, providing stable and secure access, based on the distributed warehouse for huge volumes of data with different levels of access.

Alexandr Golubev, Research and Educational Networking Association of Moldova

an software engineer at the RENAM association, Chisinau Moldova. He was barn 10 march 1984 in Chisinau Moldova. Graduated from technical university of Moldova (UTM) at 2007. He has nine-year career as software and security engineer in RENAM and MD-CERT. He have taken part in GEANT and SEE project for more than 5 years and have a huge experience in distrusted computed systems and high performance calculations programing. As a software engineer and system architect he worked on different project related  to medicine and processing medicine graphics. He has actively participated in a number of success national project of innovation in Medicine sector  In his scientific activity he has more than 10 publications in different domains related to information security, software development and informational technologies in medicine.
